
Triangle Disability & Autism Services (TDAS) has Human Rights Committee (HRC) to ensure that the rights of individuals receiving supports or services are protected. The committee is made up of staff, participants/families or other professional(s) with expertise and interest in supporting individuals with IDD and autism.
HRC MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold the mission of Triangle Disability & Autism Services.
- Attend all quarterly meetings of the HRC.
- Keep all information discussed private and will follow TDAS’ Confidentiality Policies.
- Keep in regular contact with TDAS’ Compliance Director.
- Inform TDAS’ Compliance Director if I need to stop volunteering, giving a month’s notice if possible.
- Make an effort to commit to serve the HRC for a minimum of 3 years.
- The HRC discusses incidents of a serious and private nature. This may include medical or behavioral incidents, allegations of Abuse, Neglect, Molestation, and/or Exploitation, human rights violations, etc.
- Participate in meetings of the Guardianship Oversight Committee to discuss legal and medical decision for our Guardianship participants.
