Stu Daugherty was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. Growing up, Stu was in theatre arts and was part of many plays and productions. He also participated in school and church choir and always had a love for choral music. As a young adult, Stu worked as a touring musician and collaborated with many notable music artists. Stu has a nephew and a brother-in-law on the autism spectrum. He holds these young men close to his heart, and he loves to spend time with them. In 2021, Stu started his own business where he employed individuals with exceptionalities. Stu taught his employees how to advocate for themselves and become independent even with their differences. Stu began working at TDAS in May of 2024 as a Job Coach and a DSP. Stu began directing The Every Voice Choir at TDAS in March of 2025 and soon thereafter he was promoted to a Vocational Services Supervisor. Stu is very excited to work closely with people to help them find and excel in jobs at inclusive businesses throughout the greater triangle area. In his free time, he enjoys creating music, playing video games, and traveling with his wife.
