Beth Horne earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a minor in American Sign Language and deaf advocacy. She received her Master’s in Social Work from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. For about 3 years after graduation, she owned and operated a small developmental play therapy business, where she worked with families and children to find innovative ways to improve social-developmental skills. She has worked with TDAS since 2023 as a Support Services Supervisor, providing coping strategies and advocacy work for participants on her caseload. The dedication to providing services and creative problem-solving for her caseload stems from her passion for people with disabilities. Additionally, her partner is neurodivergent. She is excited about her new role within TDAS, providing therapy to children and adults with disabilities struggling with anxiety, depression, boundaries, communication, and other internal/interpersonal struggles.
